Synopsis

With their dream within grasp, Johnny and Lola make an offer on Hey Joe–only to discover that a million dollars doesn’t go as far as they’d thought. As the price of the bar rises and expenses pile up, Lola begins to question what she really wants.

Lola knows she can solve their problems with one phone call, but she may risk going too far to have it all. Because she’s not dealing with just anyone–she’s dealing with a master. For Beau Olivier, there’s no such thing as too far. There is only conquest. There is only victory.

Beau and Lola already had their night together, but it wasn’t enough. They need more. And the more they need. The more they have to lose.

Well shit! Just when I think I can’t love Beau anymore and that he just maybe the most extraordinary (although a touch cocky *snickers*) man in the whole wide world….he goes and does something like that to our beautiful Lola. To say that I was left broken and weeping into my soggy cheerios, after I finished this book would be a mild understatement, considering I eat my cereal dry ( don’t judge) and they were soggy from my spilt tears. The ending to this book…well the last few chapters in this book, starting from that point (yes you know what point I am talking when you read this fab tale) and ending at…well the end, was a rollercoaster ride. I could not get a handle on my emotions! I mean one moment I’m changing into my spare set of panties (bad boy Beau, nuff said) the next I’m shoving pop corn (mmm butter) into my pie hole at rapid speeds do to the sheer fear and nerves rushing through me (side note: reader may want to choose a less deadly food choice. Nearly met my maker during a faulty kernel issue)

I did not see the ending coming. I was just floating away on cloud Beau, grinning like a loon and planning a May wedding when BAM!!!! I’m free falling down to earth at 100 MPH, with not a hope in the world of my cloud saving me, not that I would want him too. Go eat some faulty pop corn Beau!! You … You hot, sexy, twisted f*ck you!

I am still grieving, and my heart still hangs heavy. I know Beau will make everything alright in the end (fix this Beau, fix it!). My only fear is that Lola, will make it worse before it gets better, or that these terrible wrongs can never ever be corrected.

If you have not had the pleasure to read this series, then you need to drop the kids off at daycare, call out sick, lock the doors and discover the beauty of Lola and Beau. It has been a very long time since a book/series has captured me in a way that Jessica Hawkins, Night fever, series has. I am left satisfied yet constantly craving more. I both fear and welcome part three, because I know it’s the end, yet I’m so completely addicted and owned by this series that I will accept it like the junkie Ms. Hawkins has made me become.
