easy virtue REVIEW

Blurb

Love is selfish…

My name is Blaire.

I’m the bad girl.

The other woman.

The one who never gets the guy in the end.

I’m the gold digger.

The bitch.

The one no one roots for.

The one you love to hate.

I hate myself too…

Everyone has a story. Are you ready for mine?

I have to say I was not sure what to expect from this book, but it has left me spinning wondering what if and why not and all the in betweens.

“What is Love? I don’t know. I’ve never had it. Is it even real?”

Blaire is quite the female and has learned that she life doesn’t always give you what you hoped for, but she can work the system to her advantage. She found at an early adolescent that exterior beauty isn’t skin deep and that she can use this trait to her benefit and live a very comfortable live. The problem is that well she is viewed as incredibly beautiful to other male and females what she see on this inside is very ugly.

“I am selling my soul. And the sad part is………….I don’t care.”

Blaire has made quite the life for herself and has taken full advantage of the her beauty, but one moment can change everything and shift the axis of your world. She has always told herself that she didn’t want to want something like love that could fade away overtime and that she didn’t want any of it. Things like diamonds will last forever and always be a thing of true beauty. The males in her life cherish her beauty with endless amounts of gifts, but they only scratch the surface of what she truly craves.

Destiny has a way of throwing you for a loop and that came in the form of an unexpected evening at The Met in the form of the very wealthy Laurence Rothchild and the mystery man with the warm touch. They both left her feeling different emotions that she has to question with each and every fiber of her being. Things would be so easy if she just gave into the life she has made for herself, but she wants to give into the possibility of what could be.

Ronan is the kind hearted individual that Blaire needs to breakdown her walls and get her to want more than just a physical relationship to provide for her needs. Laurence is the easy choice that will leave her without a worry in the world, but a piece missing in terms of the emotional needs she struggles to understand. They each offer her something totally different, but they also both quickly realize how truly amazing she is to their world.

“Why me, Ronan?” “Because when I look at you, I see everything I want and everything I need.”

“I like the real Blaire…..it’s her I want.”

The bigger question is will Blaire be able to able to look past the easy path and follow what she has craved her entire life and take a leap of faith in order to finally reach it?

I was shocked by the development at the very end and the interaction between these character should be turned up a notch with this new change in the dynamics. I have to say I have my own personal agenda for Blaire after reading the first installment of the series, I can’t wait to see where things develop in the next book. I think we will be surprised by the way things develop, as I have a feeling neither Laurence or Ronan will be all too willing to let her go without a fight.
