Blurb v2

“He owns you. Whatever he tells you to do you do”.

One year. No future. A past that won’t go away.

Lennox “Nox” Demetri broke his own rule by making a deal. It may not have been directly with the devil, but that doesn’t mean Satan himself isn’t watching. Was it fate that brought Charli into his life and his bed? What will happen when rules are broken and secrets are revealed?

“New rules…my rules.”

Alex “Charli” Collins found pleasure with Nox like she’d never known. That was before she knew his last name. Now that Infidelity is involved and the rules have changed, what will result when real life and fantasy collide?

Is it really cheating if you’re doing it to yourself?

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a sexy, new dominant hero who knows what he wants and a strong-willed heroine who has plans of her own. With classic Aleatha Romig twists, turns, deceptions, and devotions, the depth of this new, epic dark romance reaches new levels and will have readers swooning one minute and screaming the next.

Have you been Aleatha’d?

CUNNING is a full-length novel, 360 pages, and the second of five books in the INFIDELITY series.

Infidelity – it isn’t what you think.

“Nox was the oxygen I required to breathe. Inhaling him gave my lungs what they needed, filling me with him.”

Where Betrayal went a bit easy, Cunning exploded with world-shattering revelations. Aleatha excels in building these elaborate worlds where there is too much money and if some sort of game is not being played it is no world to live in. Which is precisely why we read and love her writing and this series is no different.

cunning cast

There is a lot revealed that feels a lot like a tip of the iceberg while giving you a migraine with a side of unease that you can’t shake even as you can’t put the kindle down (my experience). Aleatha tells the story through multiple POV chapters as well as multiple flashback POV chapters. I do enjoy the format of her writing because of that. There is no linear story there are just so many puzzle pieces that you have to put together yourself and just be thankful you are not Nox or Charli because even they are not aware in what situation they are in. Some of these flashbacks even gave me too much to process and handle making the cliche true that “there are 2 sides of each story and then there is the truth”, except all of it felt like there is a 3rd, and 4th, and a helicopter view with an infrared setting projected from an alien spaceship.

“You, Alexandra Collins, are mine. You agreed to that, and I’m not letting you go, not without one hell of a fight.”

Nox and Charli’s relationship continues to grow stronger beyond the lies built in book one. This brought happiness to my soul that their relationship became solid or at least on the way there. Yes, there is much to work on but I believe their strong sexual attraction to each other makes them overcome their hang-ups and secrets that they are unwilling to share with each other. So the fact that they are coming closer and sharing bits from their pasts (little bits) is the reason I believe they will survive the shit storm of epic proportions that is brewing.

Batten down the hatches because as Alexandra Collins’s World collide with Lennox Demetri’s a few things will remain standing but hopefully by the time that will happen they will be solid to stand as a unit. Who knows at this point I’m afraid to make guesses and there are 3 more books in the series and Aleatha has lots of ways to screw with us.

The awful people in Charli’s life kept getting more awful reaffirming my belief to be on the look out for more evil to come to the happy couple. However, I will just keep on chanting that they will both survive it… Together… They must… Right?!?!?

PS… Seriously with these CLIFFHANGERS!!!
