One punch took him from Hollywood’s Golden Boy to Bad Boy Brody.

The media didn’t care he was grieving his brother’s death. They descended on him, but to change his reputation, his manager got him a deal. Act in an indie film, one that already had Oscar buzz, and he’d get the movie roles he needed to secure his future.

He took the deal.

Yet he wasn’t prepared for the real-life people behind the script.
He wasn’t prepared for the murder the movie was based on.
And he really wasn’t prepared for her, the biggest secret of all.

She was wild. She was beautiful. She defied gravity.

But was she the leading role that would tame him?

Brody is a full-length stand-alone novel! There is one bonus chapter from Cole at the end!

‘He was lulling me, drawing me to him just from that touch. Every time he held me, it made me never want to leave.’

Brody is quickly becoming Hollywood’s most coveted leading man. He can’t contain his excitement at having his brother attend one of the most important premieres of his career so far. Unfortunately, his night is shattered when his brother ends up in a tragic car accident. From that moment on Brody becomes consumed by his grief that he starts acting out and in turn earning the title of “Bad Boy”. It’s time for Brody to turn his career and life around. So, when his agent finds him the role that could finally get back to serious actor status and even an Oscar nomination, he accepts.

Morgan is a woman who has disconnected herself from the world, choosing a herd of mustangs over people. She wasn’t always this way, but her life took that turn when her mother was murdered. Her stepfather and step-siblings all left to move on with their lives after her mother’s death. They left her with the only thing her mother inherited her with, the lands and the ranch. But now, her stepfamily is back after she finally accepted that a movie of her mother’s life be made into a motion picture.

This story was a unique one, to say the least. I’m a big Tijan fan, so I was very excited to see what this would be about after reading the premise. It may not have been one of my favourites by Tijan, but It was still quite an emotional one. I will admit that this started off at a slow pace. It took awhile before Brody and Morgan really started talking and forming a bond. But when it finally did, it was interesting to read. I did for the most part like both characters and was very appreciative of Morgan’s P.O.V. especially since she could be a bit hard to understand.

Brody was actually quite a sweet character. I loved the lengths he would go to protect Morgan. I also liked Morgan’s wild and free spirit, although, she was a bit harder for me to connect with at times. It took me awhile to feel a connection between these two characters but when it finally did reach that point it was absolutely heartwarming.

‘We were synced. Maybe we always had been. It was something deeper than us.’

This may not have been a favourite of mine from Tijan like I’ve already said, however, I still think it was a good read with some twists and a touch of mystery added into this unique tale. I look forward to reading many more of Tijan’s books in the future.
