5 Pinkies Up…aka 5 stars!

The Italian was quite the roller coaster ride, but I’m sure glad I went on it. This is only my second TL Swan book, but I think it’s safe to say that I’m a fan for life!

Olivia Reynolds is in a rut, so she decides to shake things up but taking herself on the trip of a lifetime to Italy. She’s going through the motions until she meets a handsome stranger, and this stranger will change the course of her whole life.

Enrico Ferrara went from living a simple life to inheriting his family business (that isn’t quite on the up and up) overnight. Suddenly, he’s the most powerful man in Italy with anything he could ever want at his disposal, except for the beautiful stranger he met 2 years ago while she was on Italian vacation.

There was A LOT going in in this story. A LOT. Borderline too much, especially since the book clocks in at a whopping 550 pages. But, it certainly kept me on my toes.

Rico is hot, hot, hot. He’s bossy and dominant and a real jerk sometimes. But, his confidence commands the attention of everyone around him, including mine. And, the hopeless romantic that inevitably appears whenever Olivia has his focus is charming, genuine, and SUPER sexy. It’d be so easy to hate him, but I’m totally in love with him.

Olivia is a firecracker. I love that she gives Rico a run for his money and is not afraid to call him out when he’s being a jerk. She’s independent, self sufficient, but a total sucker for anything remotely related to Mr. Ferrara.

Like I said, this book has A LOT happening. I laughed. I cried. I laughed some more. I gasped. I fanned myself repeatedly. I rolled my eyes. And, I totally swooned over this power couple while routing for them the whole time.

The ending was a little cheesy, but after the ridiculous ride we went on with these characters, I think we needed that. I’m happy that these two got a beautiful ending along with a new beginning.

It seems like this book will be part of a series, as the groundwork was laid for a story about a few more members in the family. And, I am TOTALLY in!

Originally from Sydney, Tee Swan now resides in a dreamy beachside town on the South Coast of Australia with her hunk of a hubby, their three children and a menagerie of spoilt pets.

She loves Margaritas, Chocolate and a swoony good book with a strong storyline. With a background in Mental Health, Tee writes characters that you want be friends with, strong alphas to fall in love with and witty women you want to be.

When she is not writing you will find her in a cafe drinking coffee and eating cake.
