REVIEW: MAN CUFFED by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby

A new comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!

Mac
A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.
I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.

Meg
Hey, I it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.
Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.
Even him.

Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.

“You undo me, Trouble. I don’t make good decisions when I’m standing close to you.”

Meg is an aspiring actress who has been trying to get her big break for a long time. She’s wondering if she ever will and if its worth to keep pursuing or if it’s time to just move on. Working part-time as a waitress in order to make ends meet, is where Meg finds herself waiting on a bachelorette party where they are all impatiently waiting for the stripper to show up. Never could she imagine that when she was trying to take off the pants of the man in uniform that walked in that he would actually BE a real cop. This was one of the funniest moments of the book to me. It was definitely a great first meeting between the main characters. Back to the story, she thought that embarrassing moment was behind her. However, to make matters worse, she moves into an apartment building that she quickly realizes has VERY thin walls thanks to all the moaning coming from the other side. What she didn’t expect was that her neighbor was none other than the cop she tried to pants.

“It’s you. The Wench.”
“Hi, Chippendale,” I whisper.
He grins. He’s still holding my hand. Neither one of us wants to let go.

Mac is a police officer that is a bit of an introvert when compared to Meg’s personality. He isn’t into commitment as he doesn’t like emotion because it makes things messy to him. Mac is more of FWB kind of guy and he has had no complaints whatsoever when it comes to the bedroom. After finding out that the serving wench from the themed restaurant that tried to strip him is his neighbor he can’t help but get distracted by the beautiful lively woman. There’s this brightness that radiates from Meg that attracts Mac’s somewhat gray world. I think that’s why these characters worked so well together. It definitely opposites attract romance story and I enjoyed and smiled while reading all their interactions.

‘This time, the kiss isn’t a joke, or a ruse, or a mistake. It’s just us. A hungry man and a smitten girl finally coming together because we need it so badly. His lips press and search. My mouth lifts and beckons.’

I loved Mac even though he was a little on the serious side, he was was really sweet and caring when he allowed himself to open up. The chemistry between Mac and Meg was scorching hot. Their banter was funny and entertaining. I even enjoyed some of the secondary characters like Lance, he was hilarious and I am hoping we get more of him in the future. Meg was a hoot and very sassy which I loved. They both completed each other and brought the best out of one another. I definitely enjoyed this book a lot. It was a great addition to the series.
