Blurb v2

From the author of the New York Times bestselling Bad Boys novels comes the second book in a dark, sexy contemporary trilogy.

Is she brave enough to give her heart to a man she only thought she knew?

He was the most charismatic man I’d ever met. Strong, tough, brave. Bold as hell. Something told me Tag Barton could have anything—anyone—he wanted…and he wanted me. It didn’t matter that he was wrong for me in practically every way possible. It didn’t matter that my father would hate it.

I couldn’t resist him. Even if I’d known who he really was and what he was really capable of.

When he suggested we pretend to be engaged, I thought he was the answer to all my problems. He wasn’t. And, in his wake, he left nothing but scorched earth and me, just another casualty of my father’s war.

Can I believe him now when he tells me he loves me?  Or is he nothing more than a beautiful, breathtaking lie?

Love, love, love this series!! This is book 3 in Ms. Leighton’s Tall, Dark and Dangerous Series and it may be my favorite of the three so far, and I loved book 1 (review) and 2 (review) so that’s saying something!! First of all it has one of my favorite genres– pretend relationships but with a twist. In most pretend relationships the characters have to work towards the big … Climax if you will. Not in this one; In this it’s done in order to borrow time, and keep someone away from the hero’s girl. Second, and most important it has Tag Barton in it. And ladies…. You have to meet Tag, he is just delicious!

Weatherly is in a predicament, her father needs her help in order to keep from having his business chopped up and sold off to a consolidation company. However, Weatherly’s part in her fathers plan is to marry the owner of another company that her father wishes to merge with. This would be all fine and dandy if Weatherly wanted to marry this man, Michael Stromberg, but she doesn’t. When Weatherly gets married it’s because she can’t keep her hands, mouth and eyes off the man. And she hasn’t found this man yet, well that is until she meets the very charming and hot as hell, Tag.

Tag is everything she never knew she wanted in a man. And Weatherly is everything Tag ever needed in a women. Neither one of them knew it till an interrupted bubble bath. The moment Tag sets his silver eyes on Weatherly surrounded by bubbles and making sure her …. twin peaks are nice and clean, he knows he has to have her. Won’t stop till she is under him and screaming his name. Tag is a man with many secrets and with an agenda of his own and you just know you are in for a fantastic ride!! Tag is not a man you want to go toe to toe with, he will man up, he will fight back, and he will win. Always. And Tag hasn’t found anything worth fighting tooth and nail for… that is until Weatherly, that is.

I loved everything about this exciting read. It was witty, it’s clever, it’s charming and it’s scorching hot!! Like burn you up and turn you to ash hot!! Like melt your igloo hot!! I recommend this book to anyone who ever wondered just how fun playing “Tag” can be!!
