That was my face by the end of this one. I had a lot of people tell me that this was their favorite book in the series and I thought after The Angel it couldn’t possibly get better… boy was I wrong. I really enjoyed this one and give Ms. Reisz mad props for writing the crap out of this book. I never knew that sinning could be that good. But for real when I finished this one I was just like…
Why? Well…
Firstly, you have three separate but of course related story lines going on at one time. I cannot imagine how difficult that must have been to write and keep track of and to do it in a way that wasn’t confusing to me the reader at all. I like to think I can follow a complex story line fairly easy for the most part but when it’s this well written it’s not that difficult.
Secondly, the M/M aspect. LORD HAVE MERCY!!!! I felt so bad for Kingsley and the ass whippings that he got but it was so hot and that love story was absolutely brutally beautiful and frightening.
Third, the mystery of it. I was on the edge of my seat and thinking really hard trying to figure out how one thing was possible, and what Nora was going to do ultimately, and so on and so forth.
Also, I know I’ve said it a million times but I love Nora. She is such an all around and complete character! The way that she is childlike and brazen, wild, fearless, and mature all at the same time is amazing. She is hands down one of my most favorite heroines of recent. She must seriously have kryptonite in her vagina though!!!! LOL!
I wish I could say more but I can’t without giving away things. I can see myself reading this one over and over again. GOSH!!! I cannot wait to see what happens next…
