pwmackdaddybookcover5x8_bw_high-fixedFrom New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.

At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.

Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy.

I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.

They didn’t know about our past.

He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.

As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.

I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.

Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.

And soon I might be breaking all the rules.

Author’s note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

I just love Penelope Ward’s books! I just knew I would love this book too. And not just for that fabulous cover, either (even though it’s damn lickable). Dreamy cover aside this book had it all and then some. It was fun, it was sweet, it was sinful, and it even had some great LOL moments.

I really enjoyed the characters, even though the heroine and I often had to have talks about how silly she was being. We knew all along what was always meant to be.

This was a story of second chance love and fighting for what you love and what you need. Mack and Francesca (Frankie as Mack likes to call her) and their story of meeting too soon. What started out as a strong friendship in college leads to an even stronger story of love and all that comes along with it. Love is not always easy and it’s certainly not always clean or pretty. Sometimes love is hard and hurts like a Bitch. But it’s always, always worth it in the end.

While this may not have been one of my favorite tales spun by this very amazing writer, it is certainly a must read. Sometimes picking a favorite book by an author you love and admire is often times like picking your favorite chocolate; can you really lose? Anywho…. I digress. Now about that chocolate … *goes and wanders the house*

I recommend this book to anyone who’s ever met too soon, and wondered why.
