In the darkness is where I first met him.
Alone at a water fountain, tears rolling down my cheeks.
Ready to give up.
From the shadows, his voice came to me.
Soothing. Comforting. Rough as the blackest night.
I didn’t see him.
I didn’t even know his name.
All I knew was he saved me that night.
He put my back on my feet.
And he kept me on them.
Every single time I needed him, he found a way to come to me.
My stranger of the night.
My dark warrior.
My name is Scarlett. You probably know me.
I’m America’s number one country music star.
I’m also the loneliest girl you’ll ever meet.
He’s as free as a bird. A nomad. Travelling alone.
Nobody to hold him back.
He holds the freedom I pray for every single day.
He shows me that life can be so much more than what I’m living.
When danger comes knocking, he’ll also show me a different world.
A world I never knew existed.
A world that both terrifies and fascinates me.
A world that goes against everything I’ve ever known.
A world of Iron Fury.
This is my first MC novel by Bella Jewel. But I’ve heard she has a way with writing some awesome biker stories, so I was really excited to get my hands on this new MC series of hers. I really enjoyed the book and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this series brings. I also can’t wait to go back and read her other biker books!!
Both Maverick and Scarlett are dealing with hardships in their lives. Maverick has been on his own and away from his MC brothers for about a year now. And Scarlett is country music’s hottest star, but you wouldn’t know that from her tear stained face. Maverick and Scarlett form a friendship and provide each other something they are both missing in life. Through their new friendship feelings grow and sexy times happen (wowza!!). And let’s not forget that ending?!? How was that not a cliffy. I can’t wait to know more about Mal and Amalia’s story as well!!
I recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a sexy new MC read.
Lovely review you have here. I have been really curious about this one. I do love this author and have enjoyed her books in the past. She does write some great MC romances though.
