PARK AVENUE PLAYER IS LIVE!
A Standalone Contemporary Romance
New York Times Bestselling Authors Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland
Then the fender bender happened.
The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth.
Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway—one I was excited about.
Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.
Yeah, so I didn’t get the position.
The problem was, I really wanted it. No, I needed it. Anything to get me out of my current career and back into working with kids.
So, even though Hollis LaCroix was as intimidating as he was devastatingly handsome, I went back to see him and begged for a chance.
To my surprise, he gave me a shot taking care of his troubled niece.
At least my attraction to him wouldn’t be able to go anywhere. I wasn’t about to jeopardize my job or the strong bond Hailey and I formed.
But resisting the magnetic pull between us wasn’t that simple. (Then there was our little underwear game—don’t ask.)
We continued to flirt without crossing the line—until it finally happened.
This is the part of the story where we fall in love and live happily ever after, right?
Well, life has a way of throwing some major curveballs.
Ours was one I didn’t see coming.
Wow… wow…. just wow. Give me a minute to collect myself – talk amongst yourself, I’ll give you a topic… Hollis. Oh you don’t know him? Well that’s a shame. You must meet him, and all the parts that make him so wonderful. He is one of the best book boyfriends I’ve read in 2019. Hands down, one of the best books in 2019 as well.
Hollis and his lady, Elodie didn’t have the best meet and greet. Both were running late and a fender bender was the last thing either of them needed. Not to mention the sass and attitude from both of them, not the best way to meet, but hilarious none the less. Elodie was something special and all around amazing as well. She just had such a way about her, that you couldn’t help but love her, and love her I did.
Watching the relationship blossom and bloom between not only Hollis but also his niece, Hailey was nothing short of beautiful. They become this little family, and how Elodie handled and connected with Hailey was just perfect. And lets just say little Hailey is a spitfire! I adorned her and just laughed so hard at her angsty preteen mouth!
This book had all the feels. It was sweet. It was romantic. It was swoon worth. It was tragic and heartbreaking. I think I felt all the things while reading this epic story of love and life and everything in between. I love these two authors and love how they had a cameo of a certain hottie Aussie and his adorable fainting goat!! All I’m trying to say is.. read this book… now! You won’t regret it.
*Author note- was the Turkish soap she was watching called “Erkenci Kus “ (Early Bird)? Because if it was then, Elodie girl… I so get it. Jan Bay is everything!!! *
