Our planet has hope.
Still decaying and barely inhabitable, but ours.
With the arrival of the females, we’re no longer lonely.

Well, some of us aren’t.

For the rest, we ache for what they have.
Peace. Happiness. Love.
But where the other unmatched Morts want a mate to call their own, I’m different.

Life cruelly made me fall for the one person I’m not allowed to have.
Bitterness and jealousy are my mates now.
I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I will always be alone.

Until my commander sends me on a mission to rescue someone very important to his mate—her sister.
A woman so different. So imperfect. So maddeningly defiant. Someone I have no interest in whatsoever.

This feral female will never own my heart.
Or so I thought.
Love always has a plan of its own.

Sultan Review (2018)

Gosh, I love this series!!! Each book is just better than the last it seems, and that’s saying a lot since I’ve been loving these Morts from book one! This is Hadrian’s story about finding peace, love, and his mate. And boy was his mate just perfect for him. And not just because she looks a lot like Aria, who’s the commander’s mate.

Lyric is Aria’s sister and when Aria, finds out she’s nearby, Hadrian says he will go rescue her so he can make Aria happy and smile at him. Yes, our sweet Hadrian has a crush on the commander’s girl. But he never dreamed that in finding Lyric and bringing her back to Aria, he never dreamed he would also  find his mate.

Lyric is fiery and a hot tamale, y’all. I loved her. She was bad ass, did what she had to do to save herself, her crew, and to give peace and reassurance to those aboard the ship. Oh, and she also was one of three who took out the correctional officers, so the girls could take over the prison. Lyric has been searching for her sister, Aria for years… she won’t stop looking for her, so when these pale aliens tell her they have her onboard their facility she is overjoyed. It doesn’t hurt that Hadrian, the cocky young Mort, is sexy and makes her all hot and bothered. Plus, after what Hadrian did for Lyric, how could you not fall hard for him?

This series is soooo sooo soo good. I’ve read every single book in one sitting. Once I start there’s no stopping till I’m done, and crying into my Oreos, because the books over. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to see what possibilities are in store for planet Earth years down the road.
