Never start a fire you can’t control…

Connor Bannon is supposed to be dead. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALs, he’s spent the last two years working as a street enforcer in Brooklyn for his cousin’s crime ring. Through a twist of fate, he’s now in Chicago, working undercover to bust criminals. But when a cute little arsonist joins the team-all combat boots, tiny jean shorts, and hot-pink hair-Connor’s notorious iron control slips.

Erin “she’s getting away” O’Dea knows two things. She hates authority. And… Nope, that’s it. When she’s forced to operate on the “right” side of the law, her fear of being confined and controlled blazes to the surface. The last thing she expects is a control freak like Connor to soothe her when she needs it most. Worse, something behind the sexy ex-soldier’s eyes ignites a dangerous inferno of desire. One that invites Erin to play with fire. And one that could get them both killed…

I really enjoyed the second installment of Crossing the Line series. It was sexy as all get out, witty, and had some “OMG” moments that kept me on my toes the whole time.

After meeting Connor in book one, I was looking forward to seeing the girl that would bring this alpha male to his knees. Erin O’Dea was defiantly a force to be reckoned with. She was sassy, sarcastic, sexy, sweet, and so much more than ever met the eye. However, her pink hair, smart mouth, and crazy eyes might of been enough to send the average Joe running away and crying for his mommy, but not Connor. Oh no, that man met her toe to toe, eye to eye, and said “bring it, pussy cat”. And since she is a smart cookie, she brought it and then some.

I did have a hard time wrapping my mind around Erin at first, within 5 minutes of meeting Connor she was on him like white on rice. Now, now hear me out, I have no problems with people getting down and dirty in no time at all, that’s not what my issue was, what was upsetting was how she kept doing anything she pleased to Connor. However, the poor man has rules he needed to follow, no touching, I say when, I say where, I say jump you say.. you get the drift. I just felt this was so unfair of Connor when she didn’t know him well enough to judge him, and for her to even put herself in that situation with him, she knew it was only cause he made her feel safe. Sometimes Erin’s emotions and personality gave me whiplash and left my head spinning, so I can only imagine how poor Connor felt.

Both Erin and Conner have a dark past, and too many skeletons in their closet to even keep the door closed with a chair propped against it. As their past slowly came to light and each was forced to deal with their issues, and sort the good from the bad out, they realized that they are stronger together, better together, and happier together, the rest can be dealt with in time.

OMG and one of the best things about this book was we get more Derek and Ginger!!! God Derek is one of my favorite dirty talking cops ever! He takes no bullshit and seeing him back and live in action with this amazing case of misfits was just the bees knees.

I am a HUGE fan of Tessa Baily books and this one was no different. She has style, sass, LOL moments, and so much sexual deliciousness it will leave you panting and in search of an alpha male to make you all better.

Thank you for your interest in my books! I’m Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I’ve decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.

I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I’m still finding it, little by little. Thank you for being a part of it.
