Blurb v2

Love was my weakness. In the light of the truth, no one can hide. Derek had ignited a spark inside of my heart, a hope for a love I never expected to find. However, our connection lacked the substance it needed to burn. Weakened with resentment, our relationship crumbled under deception, slowly dissolving into ash.

I had sacrificed myself for him and paid the price.

By the time Brandon entered into my life, the longing in my heart had turned cold. But fate was not done with me. His crystal blue eyes and fluid touch revived a wish that had been frozen in time. He gave me hope once again.

Hope is a dangerous thing, especially when you dare to dream.

Review Sultan v25coffeebeanI finished this book a few days ago and it’s still on my mind. I really really enjoyed this journey I went on with these amazing people. This is the story of Penelope and her road to finding herself again.

Penelope is broke, lost, and hurting when we meet her. She is coping with her pain by drinking, doing drugs, and anything that will numb her. I could tell you why she is in such a state but then that would ruin this beautiful book for you, and that my friend would be a real tragedy. Trust me when I say, you need to experience this on your own, and you won’t be sorry. All you need to know is she is done feeling weak and sorry for herself and decides to put on her big girl pants and learn to live again, but for herself this time. It was incredible to watch her rebirth and see her rise above the ashes into this beautiful version of herself that is healthy, happy and loved.

When I first started this book I didn’t know who I wanted Penelope to be with. Who she should trust. If she could trust anyone. I had no idea that my love for Brandon would grow to stalker life levels. I swear this man… This beautiful, tragic and amazing man just made me feel so damn good!! And his looks? Honey, they will make you just want to throw your panties at him and beg to have his naughty wicked way with you. He can help you, charm you, and just protect you like no other!! I hope there is a real Brandon out there and that he has found his “lucky Penny” because these people are so magnificent they need to exist.

EM Able is a wonderful story teller. I ate up every poetics word, every sad thought, and every heartbreaking emotion that was dripping from these pages. This was the first novel by the author that I’ve read, but I can promise you it won’t my last. I recommend this book to anyone who’s been at rock bottom, dragged themselves up and out of the dark into the light and risen above the ashes into a new day.
