This was a new author for me, but it certainly won’t be my last. I loved everything about this author and her writing style. She writes such raw and gritty topics and once I started this book I had a hard time putting it down. 

Tessa is a nurse in a prison in her small town and she is also married to the warden of said prison and he is not the nicest man either. Tessa just goes through the motions of the day until a new prisoner comes into her hospital, one look and she can’t stop staring. 

To say there is a connection between Gracin (sexy name I know) and Tessa is a huge understatement. These two can’t stop the strong pull between them if they even wanted to. What started out as a complicated situation becomes an even larger cluster f*ck at the end. 

The title of this book was perfect for the story cause these two were toxic to each other but also apart from one another. I recommend this book to anyone who’s ever wanted the bad boy even when he was toxic for you.
