Nothing good ever comes from a beach fling.
Except maybe your happily ever after.

Jessica Compton had her life planned out. When she agreed to be her best friend’s sidekick on a trip to meet her online boyfriend, Jessica left her life plan at home for a week of fun. Ledgers, numbers and a corner office were supposed to make her a happy girl, not six feet of muscle, brown hair, blue eyes, and a New York accent.

Thorton Cresswell III knew how to have a good time. When his best friend asked him to be his wingman on a trip to meet his online girlfriend, Cress readily agreed. Notoriety, fortune, and success were supposed to make him happy, but a five-foot-six-inch blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty with a southern drawl had every cell in his body wanting something he never had before.

The night Jessica spent with Cress cost her more than her virtue, but was it the start of something more? Were they meant to be?

All the best love stories are filled with humor, love, and the magic of destiny…

Nicole Review

4 pinkies up…aka 4 stars!

Toy Girl by Savannah Maris is a light, easy, feel good story that left me with a smile on my face and a happy tear in my eye.

Jess Compton’s biggest fear is all the bad things that happen when she strays off “the path”. So, she lives life fully planned out with as little risk as possible. That is until her best friend, April, asks her to tag along on a beach vacation to meet her newest online love. But in April’s plan, Jess must agree to let loose and live life to the fullest…of course with a handsome stranger named Cress as her partner in crime.

Thorton Cresswell III aka Cress is a self proclaimed “black sheep” of his family, future bar owner, and wingman for his best friend’s, Vince, online beach date. But, Cress finds himself falling fast and hard for the girl that’s afraid to live without consequence.

Cress is sexy and confident while knowing just the right thing to say at all times. He’s definitely too perfect in a way. Don’t get me wrong…I’d date him. But, I missed a little bit of edge from our hero. On the other hand, there were a few moments where Jess was borderline too “Debbie Downer” for me. So, I guess the opposites needed to attract. It was funny to watch her open up
a little bit when she inherited an adult toy store and had to start writing blog reviews about her merchandise. So, that adjusted my opinion of her just a smidge.

There were some hot moments in this book, but overall it was just a nice, quick read. Nothing epic. Nothing life changing. But sometimes you just need a story like this that doesn’t make you work so hard. This is that book; and overall, I liked this sugary sweet story.
