3coffeebeans

I gave this one 3.5 coffee beans. I know, I know, I have heard so many awesome things about this book but I guess I am just not sipping the kool-aid as much as most on it. I really enjoyed the story and the various twists and turns. I found Mac’s character to be hilarious and awesomely sarcastic at times. I guess I need to get further into the series before I think that Jericho hung the moon. I will definitely continue on with the story. I thought the mystery of Mac’s sister bringing her across the world and leading her into this dark world that she knew nothing of was a great premise for a series. I love a paranormal story that has more meat to it and doesn’t just give you some vamps or wolves and little backstory or mystery to them. I liked the narrator of this one as I continued to listen. At first however her impression of a southern accent was throwing me off. It made Mac sound like she was decades older than this character was written for at times. Other than that I enjoyed the narration. I definitely recommend this to those who are gobbling up paranormal romances and looking for another series to sink your teeth into.
