Blurb v2

Factory mechanic Duke Crawford just wants to watch SportsCenter in peace. Unfortunately, living with four divorcee sisters doesn’t provide much silence, nor does it change his stance on relationships. But when a fellow commitment-phobe stumbles into his life, getting him good and worked up, he can’t deny his protective instincts.

Samantha Waverly’s brother just put her in an impossible situation. The only way out? Marry huge, gruff, gladiator look-alike Duke—for show, of course. She doesn’t make promises—she knows too well how easily they can be broken—and this is no exception.

As the blistering attraction between them grows, the lines around the no-strings relationship blur. But Duke and Samantha’s marriage is only for show…or is it?

Review Sultan v2

Oh my Duke!!! Those that know me know I love me some Tessa Bailey and her fabulous books!! I haven’t read this series yet however, after reading this I definitely want to go and see what book one and two were all about. I have also heard that Duke is by far the best hero in the series yet. And after meeting this bearded mountain of a man I can easily see why. I loved how real Duke was. He was fit but not 8 pack abs fit. He is big like lumberjack big. He is Hairy but in that rugged malt man manner. And boy does he know how to please a woman in bed and outside of it… hehe.

Duke lives with his 4 divorced sisters and although he loves them all to pieces it don’t mean he loves living with them and all their drama. That’s because our Duke is a very simple man. A man of few words (though when he talks some delicious things come out) and simple pleasure such as his beloved Sports Center. A perfect day for Duke would easily be alone time and hours upon hours of uninterrupted Sports Center time. That is until he meets the quirky and easy to love Samantha.

Samantha was one of my favorite female leads I’ve come across in a long time. She was funny, charming, and her little pins or riddles were just too darn cute. What starts out as a relationship of convince soon grows into the real deal. And thank you baby Jesus for that, because these two not being together is just tragic. They go together like PB&J and a nice tall glass of ice cold milk. Speaking of ice cold beverages, I was reaching for my iced tea on more then one occasions when Duke got to talking with that dirty mouth of his. Wowza, ladies if you read this book for one reason then it’s got to be for Duke’s wicked and filthy sexy mouth!

I enjoyed this book like I enjoy all of Tessa Bailey’s wonderful stories. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a real man. Rugged. Sexy. Good with his hands. And knows how to rock a sexy as sin beard.

Excerpt v2

…Duke crooked his finger at her. And hell seemed to break loose between them, filling the air with blazing energy.

“Sorry, what’s that?”

“That’s the international signal for get over here,” he rasped.

Samantha wasn’t given to crashing waves of arousal. No, her libido could more accurately be described as a tide pool, at least before she’d met a certain machinery mechanic. But something about that finger, the absolute gall, the male ego behind it, tossed her around like a pissed off ocean. Duke was turned on. The testosterone was a veritable force field around him, and Samantha wanted in. Hadn’t it been inevitable when they’d met again this morning, so soon after last night? And was she making excuses, telling herself that giving over her body was safe? This was physical, right here. They could touch each other in his kitchen and she’d still be going home when the waves stopped pounding. No other option. Especially leaving without another sample of what had made her feel so…alive. “If I come to you, what are you going to do when I get there?”

“I’ll tell you one thing…” If possible, Duke’s size seemed to double, his muscles shifting beneath his T-shirt. “It’s going to involve your mouth.”

About Author v2

highres-MJB_5140.jpg

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days.

Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.
