REVIEW: RESIST by K. Bromberg

RESIST

Series: Wicked Ways, Book 1

Publisher: Montlake Romance

Release Date: July 30th 2019

GoodReads

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Driven series comes a powerful romance about reaching great heights through low depths.

Who says you have to play by the rules to get what you want?

Agreeing to meet Ryker Lockhart is my first mistake. Rich, handsome, and more than intriguing, he thinks blackmail will bend me to his will.

But he’s wrong.

I may have done a few things that weren’t exactly legal, but I have my own reasons for that. The last thing I’m going to do is let some high-powered divorce attorney come into my life, have my body, and rule my heart. Not to mention ruin everything that I have carefully built in just a short amount of time.

But as much as I try to resist him, and against my better judgment, there is something about him that has me agreeing to his proposal.

I’m putting everything on the line for him. I just hope I won’t lose everything when this is all over.

Sultan Review (2018)

Wow!!! Like wow wow wow! I was so not expecting any of that! This was was awesome!! And that ending?!! Holy moly! I kept trying to turn to the next page in my kindle and when I realized that’s how it ended, I screamed out “Nooooo”. To say I need the next book is a huge understatement.

Ryker was something else. He was cocky, sexy, smart, and didn’t take no for an answer especially where Vaughn was concerned. I totally don’t blame him, Vaughn was magnificent!! Yes, she freaked and acted crazy a time or 20, but she had her reasons, and at the time of her crazy outburst I could see her reasons behind the cray.

I really enjoyed watching these two headstrong characters give in to the magnet pull between them and just enjoyed the ride. And what a damn hot ride it was!! I mean to set my iPad on fire and down a glass of ice-cold lemonade hot!!

I can’t wait for book two, it’s been too long already, and I don’t know how I’ll ever make it until September’s release day. These characters stayed with me for a long while after I finished, and even now as I write this review I’m already feeling the familiar pangs of withdrawal hitting me again. Wonder if there’s a Vaughan and Ryker rehab center…. hmmm must investigate this. While I google this, why don’t you go read the book and see what all the fuss is about? I recommend this book to…. hell, everyone!
